R,G, hubby and I went to watch Variete after work yesterday.
Actually R prepared to surprise his gf G with this show becuase it was her birthday last week.
The ticket wasn't cheap, it costs each of us 61 Euro (including a 3-course-meal).
Somehow G found it out and even searched it on the net.
Sometimes I think that G is too silly to tell R that she had actually known his plan and even told R that she could imagine how the shów and the theater look like!
R was so disappointed when he heard that.
If I were G, I will pretend that I knew it for the first time and show the reactions which are expected by a bf who has planned the birthday surprise for such a long time.
Well, sometimes you have to learn how to be an 'intelligent' women when there is a necessity.
But the Variete show was really amazing and fabulous.
I haven't laugh so hard in a long time and I felt so relaxing.
I laughed till I bursted into tears, the magician was such a funny guy and acted like an intelligent idiot. LOL
We entered the theater at around 18:45 and were arranged to sit at one of the best places so that we can have a full view of the stage.
It was a four-person-table and the starter is served after we ordered our drinks (which are not included in the price and should be paid extra)
The starter was palatable greeny pea soup with a few small schrimps.
The main course was crispy fried chicken chop with mashed potatoes.
The meat was succulent but wasn't excellent, taste a bit bland.
After an hour of the show, we had about 15 Minutes rest time and dessert was served directly.
It wasn't what I like...
We went to a bar after the show ended at about 10:30pm and reached home at 1.45am.
We were so tired but still felt happy.

A tiring Saturday
Suppose to have a 100 Min chinese lesson with a weirdo on Sat morning, which I was reluctant to do so.
But this girl promised to pay her Feb and March lesson fees, it summed up to 300 Euro and I expected to collect the money by then.
However, she ate her words again, I was really disappointed with her, another cheeky liar!
I refused to continue any lesson with her before she clears her debt.
She started to be nervous and cook up lots of excuses and stories just to cover her shame.
I didnt even want to look into her face, she appeared to be as ugly as witch all of a sudden.
How I wish I can get rid of her as soon as possible!
I found some hypocritical words to "console" her and sent her away.
By the time she left my office, I was so relief although I know I would never collect my 100 Euro and my 15-Euro-Textbook again.
In the afternoon we went skiing with 2 other friends, Roland and Gianni.
My excited mood was all ruined when I failed to hold the tightrope of the Babylift and falled down clumsily with my Ski and heavy Ski shoes.
The worker there didnt even bother to offer me a helping hand and I struggled to stand up like a chicken who is nearly drowned in water!
Real Sucks!
Since then, I lose all my confidence and just refused to continue after I tried twice for about 45 Minutes.
A bad start can ruined all the following activities.
2 bad starts of skiing within 8 years, maybe it simply isn't my thing...
Well, I dont really like this because I wasnt good at all and it was, afterall, not a cheap pleasure.
We dined in an Mexico restaurant and went into bed quite early on Sat night...
ZZzzzzZzzz...

Another week starts
Weekend has gone just like that, by not doing much.
Don't have to work on Sat, we spent our Sat morning cleaning the trash and did some drinks and food shopping.
After we cooked our lunch, we took a nap and woke up by my dad-in-law's phone call.
Hubby promised to help him to fix his comp prob and we drove up to their place in the afternoon.
It is always lovely to have some coffee and cakes at my in-law's place.
I love talking with them , as if I can absorb much of positive energy there.
After our afternoon tea, hubby and his dad went upstairs to solve their prob and mum-in-law and I were sitting in the living and chatting.
We had a long discussion about what should we prepare for our house-warming and birthday party on 6th April.
Mum showed me her old cook books and I found them quite interesting.
We came up with a short list of food and I have perished the though of ordering a catering service.
It took nearly 3 hours and finally we heard their footsteps coming down to the living room.
Half of the problems remain unsolved but they had to leave it for that day because it was getting late.
That was my Saturday.
On Sunday morning, I doubled read the translated text for Linda's company and sent it off to her.
Hopefully she will get her website done as soon as possible and we will get out first official customer soon.
She promises to pay me by honorarium if I could help her out by customer emails correspondance in Chinese (if we get any!)
Hope her business will go smooth and I would get profit from this.
In the afternoon we cooked Spaetzle with pork filet together.
We have tried this recept a few times and it turned out really tasty this time!
After lunch I read the comic Verena lend me and fall asleep after finishing it.
So, I did nothing much recently.
But my students are coming back slowly from their holiday and I am going to work more.
However, I still need one or two new students to increase my income.
Yeah, that's life....

CNY 2nd Day
We were invited for dinner by in-laws on CNY eve.
Though I wasn't sure if mum-in-law knew that it was NY eve, but I was somehow moved by her invitation.
It was also sort of reunion dinner for me, but with my another family members here in Germany.
We chatted until late at night and went back home around midnight.
On the first day of CNY, it was surprisngly sunny here despite the white landscape outside the window and falling temperature.
We woke up quite late on that day, and I suggested to have late breakfast in the Cafe near our house.
Honest speaking, we haven't had breakfast outside before, except on our holiday trip.
I needed some small changes in life sometimes, and a gasp of fresh cold air do me good.
Then we spent the rest of our Sunday at home, hubby was busy doing some bureaucratic works and I was hanging around in internet doing nothing.
I made a few phone calls and chatted nearly 1 and a half hour with Connie in Bremen.
It was great to hear the latest news from some family members and friends.
I usually dont like making phone calls but this special occassion is an exception. LOL
But I finished the thriller by Agatha Christie, which was a Christmas present from Barbara, my student.
Hubby had running nose during night.
He woke up few times to clean his nose and the next morning he has to travel to another state for a meeting and stays overnight there.
Pity him!
I have only 10 working hours this week.
There is still no news from IMB and no new requests for chinese lessons.
Quite disappointing but I think should be patient.
Hopefully my income would remain the same as last year...

memories
A sentimental email from my one and only brother makes me reminiscent of our childhood and youth time before CNY.
When I try to recall the memories, I could conjure up images of my family gathered in the living room watching TV program on the night of new year eve. We chatted happily while chewing the crispy prawn crackers, one of our favourite snacks which will only be served during CNY, and drank soft drinks as much as we can.
It was so ordinary, just like another normal family celebrating CNY.
But now I realise that this kind of ordinary life and family reunion have been so far away from me.
My tears drop when I read the last two lines of the email.
I have saved my tears for so many years avoiding to think of those things which may makes me feel sorr.
I hope I could make it soon in the future...

Flight ticket booked!
I've booked my flight ticket back to M'sia yesterday, hooray!
It has been one and a half year since my last visit to Malaysia and thus, I have decided to stay more than 3 weeks there.
Called home this morning just to tell my mum that I've confirmed my date flying back.
Seems like she was in a very good mood and we talked for 45 minutes.
I start thinking about what souviniers and presents should I bring back to M'sia.
Mum told me that dad is very fond of the little crystal ball that they bought in Germany last year.
Mum hanged one of the crystal ball in the living hall and it looks impressively pretty when the sunlight is reflected through the crystal on the wall.
So, I decided to buy another set of crystal balls for dad, maybe he can also give it away to other friends or relatives.
I have already got my cousine a cool Mini Cooper wireless mouse and my sister a pair of cute lil rabbit headset.
Honest speaking, nothing is cheap in Germany, especially those unique gifts.
Well, we do have to pay for creativity and esthetic creation, but I dont mind paying it as long as I am afford to do so and the receivers are happy with them.
There is nothing much to do at work and it worries me a little.
However, there is nothing better than counting down the date of reunion with my love ones!
